How Personal Training Helps Alzheimer's Patients In Massachusetts

Let it be known I am not a Medical professional but am aware that all types of activity can help people stay fit and healthy know matter your age. Alzheimer's disease affects thousands of Americans and is the 6th leading cause of death in the United States. I specialize in helping those that suffer with this disease by providing them a safe and comfortable environment to exercise. Below are 3 reasons how personal training helps Alzheimer's patients in Massachusetts:

1. Familiarity

By working out in a personal training fitness studio patients are given one on one attention as well as are able to get comfortable with their surroundings and learn how to perform activities with ease.

2. Patience & Persistence

Caregivers of Alzheimer's patients have to be very patient and persistent. The same applies with personal trainers. At Next Level Fitness Studio, I am extremely patient and create a fun atmosphere for all my clients.

3. Physical Fitness

As stated above, physical fitness is important to maintaining a healthy lifestyle. It is important for Alzheimer patients to exercise as much as possible. From walking on the treadmill for 15 minutes to lifting 10lb weights, personal trainers are able to adapt a workout routine based on a patients mood that day. If one exercise doesn't keep the patient entertained, trainers will always have a backup.

I have seen the benefits of one on one personal training with one of my Alzheimer's clients. My client was able to follow direction and start to feel safe with me. As she becomes more familiar with activities, her movement progresses and she is always very happy to see me. It is a joy to help people maintain a healthy and active lifestyle know matter their circumstances.
